Sally A. Smith

Sally Ann Smith, age 71, of Grants Pass, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

Sally was born June 13, 1940 in Fenton, Michigan to James & Alice McDonald. In 1965 she moved from Fenton to Grants Pass where she raised her four children. In December 1984 in Reno, Nevada she married Jim Smith. Together they lived in Alaska for five years and the Roseburg, Oregon before returning to Grants Pass in 1993.

Sally was a photographer and enjoyed computers, gardening, fishing, the outdoors, tropical fish and breeding exotic birds.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Smith of Grants Pass, Oregon; children, Nick Kolias, Vicky Kolias, Roni Kolias, Teresa Grove, James Smith, Paula Jansen, Tamara Smith, and Cecil Smith; sisters, Geraldine Englemann, Mary Dady, Kathy McDonald, Susie Sprague; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Diana Fuentes; and two brothers, Dick Hawkins and Bob McDonald.
