Ruth Marie Ireland

Ruth Marie Ireland, age 96, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Ruth was born April 25, 1920 in Smithtown, Long Island, New York to John & Helen Hesse.

She was a member of Williams Community Church. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and quilting.

Ruth is survived by a son, Ken Bird of Palo Alto, California; two daughters, Sandy Morrow and Julie Woolsey both of Grants Pass, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Sorrel Hanson, Marlyss Bird, Lori Geith, Shelly Brandes, Leslie Clark, Wendy Woolsey, Pepper Woolsey, and Heidi Hull; 11 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren, Karen and Jonathan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Ireland.
