Ruth Jacobi Malan

Ruth Jacobi Malan, age 93, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at a local foster care home.

A memorial service has been held. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born October 15, 1919 in a farming community in Melville, Saskatchewan Canada and studied in a one room schoolhouse. She remembers World War I, witnessed the Great Depression, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the first man on the moon. In 1970 she moved from Anaheim, California to Grants Pass.

Ruth loved children, dogs, sunny days, flowers and singing.

Ruth is survived by a son James; four grandchildren, Trisha, Rose, Parker and Liesl and one great-grandchild, Rogue.
