Ruth J. Traub, age 86, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at her daughter’s home.
A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Family Life Bible Church, 120 6th Street, Ashland Oregon. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Ruth was born on November 18, 1922 in Miles City, Montana to John & Ida Taylor. On October 2, 1948 in Sequim, Washington she married Glen E. Traub who died March 14, 2001. Everything she did centered around the care of her children and family. In June of 2009 she moved from Brookings to Grants Pass.
She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Harbor, Oregon for 44 years where she also taught Sunday school.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. She also participated in a women’s bible study group.
Survivors include three sons, Reverend Cliff Traub of Modesto, California, Reverend John Traub of Medford, Oregon, and Tom Traub of Bandon, Oregon; two daughters, Kathy Barclay and Barbara Smith, both of Grants Pass; a sister, Joni La Vigne of Harbor,Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, preceding her in death were two granddaughters, Wronda Irene Wilson who died December 18, 2002 and Cindy L. Traub who died January 4, 2003.
