Ruth E. Fisher, age 89, of Applegate, died Monday, September 29, 2008 in Grants Pass.
A visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center Relief Society Room.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center (corner of Williams Highway & Harbeck Road). Interment will follow at Missouri Flat Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Ruth was born November 14, 1918 in Louistown, Montana to Minnie E. (Heron) Gipson & Charles W. Gipson. She completed beauty school and later taught at beauty school. She married Ellard W. Fisher and they lived in Hawaiian Gardens, California. In about 1979 they moved to Applegate to live their retirement dream.
Ruth was an active member of Applegate Community church and dedicated her loving life to her christianity and shared that through Sunday school teaching.
She enjoyed quilting, crafts, canning, gardening, helping and sending her love to all who crossed her path, and time spent with her family.
Her love, warmth, and sweet devotion will be cherished and missed, by all who knew her.
Survivors include a son, David Cox of Sandy; a daughter, Diane Patterson of Grants Pass; two stepchildren, Phyllis Akin and Roger Fisher; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
