Ruth Alva Davis

Ruth Alva Davis, 92, of Glendale, passed away November 24, 2023 at Rogue Regional Medical Center.

Ruth was born in Sacramento, California November 29, 1930 to Lester and Verdie Nelson. The family moved to Grants Pass in 1942 where she lived most of her life. Ruth attended Wonder and Jerome Prairie Grade school and Grants Pass High School.

Ruth married Ernest Davis and had two children, a son, Ernest Davis Jr., and a daughter, Karen Davis.

Ruth was one of twelve children. She had five brothers; Leroy, Noel, George, Frank, and Ronald. Ruth had six sisters; Margarete, Phyllis, Lois Jean, Mary, Ester, and Julia.

Ruth had five grandchildren; Warren Larson of Glendale, Christine Dabney of Manitoba, Canada, Robert Larson of Medford, Jeff Larson of Grants Pass, and Kimberly Colin of Boring, Oregon. Ruth had nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth loved crossword puzzles, picture puzzles, country music, spending time with her grand children and going for walks.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, five brothers, two sisters, and one great-granddaughter.

She will be truly missed.
