Ruth A. Karikka

Ruth Ann Karikka, 86, of Grants Pass, OR passed away on Thursday, December, 24, 2015. She was born December 12, 1929 to the late Clarence and Frances Tome in Ithaca, New York. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Richard “Dick” Karikka.

Ruth Ann and Dick loved to travel, pursuing each new adventure with pleasure. After raising their children, Ruth Ann pursued her desire to become a certified nursing assistant. She thoroughly enjoyed the time she worked in her chosen field, and her family was so proud of her accomplishment.

Ruth Ann was a longtime resident of Grants Pass, loving her home in the woods. Her family and friends knew her as a most special person, who always saw the best in everyone.
Her final days were spent surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by 3 children, Laurie Karikka Trussell, Richard Karikka, and Kimberlee Karikka of Grants Pass; her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Marie Tome of Charlotte, NC, her grandchildren, Anthony Marino and Kayla Marino Craig and many other loved family and friends, including Barbara Eskotter, Greg Gananian and Phil Marino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Karikka, her son, John Karikka, her parents, Clarence and Frances Tome, her sister, Barbara Louise Tome, and her son-in-law, Robert Trussell.
