Russell L. Clark, age 85, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at his home at Arbor House.
A funeral service and interment will be held in Selma, California. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of local arrangements.
Russell was born March 19, 1922 in Kingsburg, California to Ida (Landis) Clark and William Clark. After attending Kingsburg schools, he served in the United States Army as a Corporal during World War II in the Philippines and New Guinea. He then began his long career with Pacific, Gas & Electric in Central California. On October 22, 1977, Russell married Dorothy A. Woolley. After retirement in 1984, he and his wife Dorothy enjoyed traveling in their fifth-wheel, while Russell gardened, used his metal detector to hunt for treasures, did extensive work at the United Methodist Church in Selma, California and served with other Gideons distributing Bibles. In November 2003 he moved from Kingsburg, California to Grants Pass.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, survivors include son, Keith Erickson of Hayward, California; daughter, Barb Simms of Fresno, California; stepson, Van Woolley of Sherman Oaks, California; two stepdaughters, Connie Denham of Grants Pass and Florence Bedrosian of Carson City, Nevada; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
