Russell Allen Bramblett

Russell Allen Bramblett, age 76, of Grants Pass, passed away March 19, 2023 at his home after battling pancreatic cancer.

Russ was born November 16, 1946 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Bill & LaVona Bramblett. He graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1965 and enlisted in the United States Navy. On May 31, 1969 he married his wife, Debbie. For over 28 years he served active duty and reserves in the Navy and held the rank of E8 Hospital Corpsman Senior Chief. Russ worked for Grants Pass Police Department for 27 years and retired as Lieutenant. He proudly served his country and community.

Russ was a lifetime member of the Oregon Hunters Association and a member of Grants Pass Golf Club and Edgewater Christian Fellowship. He volunteered his time to serve on the Hillcrest Memorial Park Board of Directors.

His hobbies included golf, hunting, fishing, camping, playing pinochle and cribbage, reading and January trips to Hawaii. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years Debbie; two daughters Michelle (Rob) and Jennifer all of Grants Pass; two sisters Alice Price of Sunny Valley and Kathy Smith of Grants Pass; brother Bill (Karen) Bramblett of Albany; and five grandchildren Ryan, Halie, Jessie, Gavin and Carly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., April 15, 2023 at Edgewater Christian Fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Oregon Hunters Association, Joe’s Place; or the Pregnancy Care Center.
