Roy "Wayne" Owens

Roy “Wayne” Owens, age 69, of Grants Pass, died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Wayne was born June 7, 1946 in Bisbee, Arizona. He lived in California for many years. After the death of his father, he eventually moved to Grants Pass in his later 20s. He worked as a carpenter.

Wayne attended Applegate Christian Fellowship, Calvary Church on Midway and Rivers of Life Foursquare Church.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and in 1996 he camped 70 days out of the year. He also enjoyed photography.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Owens; his wife, Linda Owens; a sister, Sandy Owens; his stepfather and mother, Jack & Mary Trevett.
