Rose Marie Cameron

Rose Marie Cameron, age 90, of Rogue River, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her home.

Rose was born December 16, 1927 in San Francisco, California to Kenneth (Bud) and Josephine (Joey) Hunter. She grew up in the San Francisco area and witnessed the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. She was a life-long 49er fan. After high school, the family moved to Rogue River; where she lived most of her life. Rose met her future husband, LeRoy J. Cameron, shortly after his return from serving in WWII. They married July 28, 1946 in Grants Pass. Rose retired from the Rogue River School District in 1983 as the middle School secretary, a job she dearly loved.

Survivors include her daughter, Cara Thiergartner of Rogue River.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; daughter, Patricia (Patty) Cameron; and son-in-law, Rick Thiergartner.

Private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
