On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Ronald William Klumph, passed away at Three RIvers Hospital. He was 62 years old. Ron was born July 18, 1958 in Medford, Oregon to Bonnie Tourville Klumph and Robert Eugene Klumph. He was the fourth boy and joined his three older brothers in the family. He married Susan Burnett on May 16, 1981 and together they had one son, Nicholas, and one daughter, Erin.
Ron was passionate about his family, his refereeing, his music, and his friends. He spent over 30 years refereeing football and added basketball during the last few years as he enjoyed being part of the sports action. The Dallas Cowboys was his favorite football team and he never wavered from supporting them whether they won or lost. For his career he was a machinist, he enjoyed the mathematics that the job entails as well as working with his hands. He was a proud father and grandfather and, upon request, would show up to any of his grandchildren’s events. Ron’s presence, his smile, and his kindness will be greatly missed.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Robert Eugene Klumph, his step-father Willis (Bill) Newsom, his step sisters Sheila Dollente and Linda Pearce, and his son Nicholas. He is survived by his mom, Bonnie Newsom, his brothers, Robert Klumph, Randy Klumph, Rick Klumph, step-sister Diane Jackson and daughter Erin Turner (Justin). He also leaves behind 2 beloved grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at Edgewater Christian Fellowship in Grants Pass, Oregon. The family requests that masks and social distancing protocols be followed. Please bring your favorite photograph of Ron to share.
