Ronald J. Dollarhide, age 52, of Rogue River, died Monday, July 28, 2014, in Medford, Oregon.
A private family memorial service will be at Union Creek on Saturday, August 9th. A potluck will be held at Palmerton Park, in Rogue River, on August 9th at 5:00 p.m., family and friends are invited. Please bring your favorite dish and chairs. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Crater Lake Council or to the American Cancer Society.
Ron was born on January 29, 1962 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Chuck and Joyce Dollarhide. Ron graduated from Rogue River High School in 1980. In high school he was part of the football, baseball & wrestling teams, he also participated in band. During high school, Ron worked for Ray’s (Sentry) and continued to work there for many years. He worked at Rays in Rogue River, Waldport, & Phoenix, Oregon. Until currently, he worked at Sherm’s Food for Less in Medford, Oregon.
Ron also participated in the Boy Scouts of America and received the honor of Eagle Scout. His hobbies included watching Oregon Ducks Football, reality TV, golfing, Sci Fi., & the NFL. He enjoyed going to the Oregon Coast and casinos.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie (Megan) of Portland, and his son, Cody of Grants Pass. Other family members include, his father, Charles Dollarhide; sister, Pam Powell; two brothers, Ken (Romi) & Bob (Kember) Dollarhide. He is also survived by 11 nieces and 22 nephews.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Joyce Dollarhide; brother, Ed Dollarhide; sister, Susie Dollarhide; Paternal Grandparents, Wes & Ruby Dollarhide and Maternal Grandparents, William & Bessie Thatcher.
