Ron "Ron Dog" Archambault

Ron “Ron Dog” Archambault, age 78, of Grants Pass, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home.

Ron was born July 26, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alfred & Bernice Archambault. His family moved a lot due to his father’s employment. He graduated from high school in Oelwein, Iowa. Ron worked as a mechanic in San Diego, Lancaster, and Palmdale, California. He attended Palomar College in San Marcos, California and earned an Associate’s degree at Lancaster Community College. He worked as waste water superintendent for the City of Los Angeles and taught waste water curriculum at Lancaster Community College. In 2000 he retired and moved to Grants Pass.

His memberships included the Sons of God Motorcycle Club (Charter Member) where he participated in Toys for Tots toy runs and Calvary Church where he taught Sunday school for toddlers.

Ron volunteered to host picnics for Sparc Enterprises now Aspire and did ministry work at Oregon Youth Authority.

He gave so much of himself and especially enjoyed community service.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Archambault; a daughter, Sherry Archambault both of Grants Pass; three grandchildren, Charles, Richard and Jill; and a great-granddaughter, Jade.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
