Roberta Corrine Banks, age 42, of Holiday, Florida, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Hull and Hull Chapel with internment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Roberta was born January 31, 1965 in Sacramento, California to Robert and Shirley Allen. She attended schools in Folsom and Antioch, California and Eugene, Oregon. She loved school and was an excellent student. She loved swimming and received many ribbons for her skills in various swim meets.
On February 14, 1982, in Eugene, she married Michael W. Banks Sr. They later divorced but always remained friends until Michael’s death. She moved to Antioch, California and lived there until 1999, when she and her companion Patrick Lowe moved to Holiday, Florida where she spent the remainder of her life as a homemaker and loving mother to her son, Cody. Roberta, better known to her friends and family as Robbi, and Berta-Bert to her mother, was a loving daughter and friend to all. She loved music and liked to sing. She enjoyed cooking and liked cooking for family and friends. She also loved her special plants she grew. She was always ready to help out a friend in need, be it baby sitting, food, or whatever she could do to help. She was a fun loving person and enjoyed spending time with he family. She loved her three sons with all her heart.
Survivors include Patrick Lowe, her companion and father of her son, Cody James Lowe, of Holiday, Florida; son, Michael W. Banks, Jr. of Eugene; sister and brother in law, Rhea and Jay Compton of Valley Center Kansas; mother and stepfather,
Shirley and Larry Smith of Grant Pass; nephew, Jeremy Compton; niece, Jesiree Compton, both of Valley Center, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen; Grandparents, Catherine and Deese McKee; husband, Michael W. Banks, Sr. and son, Daniel Allen.
Her happy smile, quick wit, and loving ways will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She left us too soon. God now has a sweet and lovely new angel.
