Robert L. “Bob” Williams, age 73, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his home.
No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Bob was born March 19, 1938 in Asher, Oklahoma to Roy & Anna Marie Williams. Bob and his family moved to Salinas, California where he graduated from Salinas High School in 1956. After high school he was a pitcher for Minor League Baseball. Bob spent all of his life as a printer and started his own printing business in Portland. He moved from Portland to Williams thirteen years ago after his retirement. On February 3, 2007 he married Kathy Eley. The same year they moved to Grants Pass.
He was a member and an avid golfer at the Grants Pass Golf Club. Bob and Kathy enjoyed traveling, playing golf together and visiting the Oregon Coast. He was also an accomplished water color artist.
Preceding him in death was his first wife of 48 years, Marjorie Williams and his father, Roy Williams.
Survivors include his wife Kathy Williams of Grants Pass; three sons, Adam Williams and wife Ginger of Portland, Oregon, Rob Williams and wife Deb of Portland, Oregon, Justin Williams and wife Brandy of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Lonnie Degregorio and husband Tony of Mesa, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Lynda Flynn and husband Steve of Mission Viejo, California; a stepson, Gary Graves of Dallas Texas; his mother, Anna Marie Boardman of Salinas, California; two sisters, Connie York and husband Jim of Salinas, California and Linda Lines and husband Dean of Castroville, California; two brothers, Dick Williams and wife Yvonne of Pittville, California and Charlie Williams and wife Marcia of Rocklin, California; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
