Robert D. Borton, age 78, of Grants Pass, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
A funeral service will be a 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Robert was born September 29, 1931 in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in Baldwin Park, California and in 1950 graduated from high school in Tujunga, California. He then attended Glendale Junior College in Glendale, California. From 1951 to 1953 he served in the United States Navy. From 1953 to 1955 he worked as an airline mechanic; from 1955 to 1958 worked in real estate; and from 1958 to 1979 worked for a savings and loan. At that time he returned to real estate until his retirement in 1989. He then moved from California to Grants Pass in 1998 and on July 24, 1999 he married his wife, Susie.
Robert was a member of the Josephine County Sportsman’s Association and attended Redwood Christian Church for several years.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, listening to music, and watching professional football. He was a great USC fan – GO DUCKS!
Survivors include his wife, Susie Borton of Grants Pass; a daughter, Lori Harasta of Ventura, California, a son, David Borton; a brother , William Skinner of Grants Pass and three grandchildren.
