Robert Brian "Rob" Young

Robert Brian “Rob” Young, age 47, of Grants Pass, died Monday, August 27, 2012 at his home.

Private family services will be held. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Rob was born April 11, 1965 in Shelton, Washington to Harold & Kathleen Young. He lived in Shelton with his family until he moved with them to Olympia, Washington. In 1976 the family moved to Cave Junction where he lived until early adulthood when he moved to the Portland area. When he returned to Southern Oregon he lived and worked in Grants Pass. He worked at Granny’s Kitchen until moving to Klamath Falls where he helped open and manage a Granny’s Kitchen there.

Rob’s greatest joy in life was his son. Watching him grow, taking him fishing, going to his football games, his excellence in school….all made him very proud.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Harold G. Young; grandparents, Harold & Wilma Young and Raymond and Esther Buckley and a brother, Phillip Smith.

Left to mourn him is his son, Robert B. Young; mother, Kathleen Young; a brother, Jeffrey Young; two sisters, Shari Smith and Melissa Young and a step-daughter, Whitney.
