Robert "Bob" Buchanan

Robert “Bob” Buchanan, age 81, of Grants Pass, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at his home after 53 years of blissful marriage to Marie Buchanan.

Family services will be held at a later date. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born July 28, 1929 in Daly City, California to Robert & Ruby Buchanan. He moved from Covina, California to Grants Pass 20 years ago.

Bob was a member of Boy Scouts of America where he was a scoutmaster and received the rank of both Order of Arrow and Silver Beaver.

He volunteered with the American Red Cross Josephine and Jackson counties disaster relief.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Buchanan of Grants Pass; stepchildren, Clyde Lansing of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bob Lansing of Joplin, Missouri, Roger Lansing of Grants Pass, Don Lutton of Medford, Oregon, Robin Buchanan of Crescent City, California and Ray Buchanan of Grants Pass; two brothers, Jim Buchanan and Charles Buchanan both of Pismo Beach, California; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Charlene Lansing,a brother Ed Buchanan, and his parents.
