Richie M. Dubbs

Richie M. Dubbs, age 57, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Richie was born November 5, 1957 in Grants Pass where he lived all of his life except for a short time when he lived in California and Hawaii. He graduated from Grants Pass High School, Class of 1975. From 1976 to 1980 he served honorably in the United States Navy on ships in the South Pacific with his home port in Yokosuka, Japan. He graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology.

He was a member of the V.F.W. (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post 50, Southern Oregon Psychology Club and Coast Guard Academy graduate, achieving his coast guard license. He graduated with honors for graduating in the top 10% of his class.

Richie’s hobbies included fishing and maintaining close friendships with many of his high school classmates.

Survivors include his mother, Carol, and his daughter, Jessica.
