Richard Larry Cataldo

Richard Larry Cataldo, age 67, of Sunny Valley, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at his home.

A visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Friday, June 22, 2007 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am, Friday, June 22, 2007 at Hull & Hull Chapel.

He was born May 18, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania to Peter Joseph and Susan Marie Cataldo. He served in the United States Air Force. On February 17, 1959 in Mountain Home, Idaho, he married Diana Fey Miller. Shortly after their marriage they began their family of four beautiful children. Richard retired from the military and the family moved to Oregon. They moved from Phoenix, Oregon to Sunny Valley where Richard and his wife loved their home where they’ve resided for 30 wonderful years.

He was a Legionnaire and volunteered as a firefighter.

Most importantly, Richard was a wonderful loving husband and family man. He lead by great example and touched many lives. He enjoyed gardening, attending to exotic birds, maintaining his home and property, and most importantly, cooking.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Diana Fey Cataldo of Sunny Valley; daughter, Gina Painter of Sunny Valley; son, Richard Cataldo of Sunny Valley; son, Tony Cataldo of Merlin; daughter, Micky Shackelford of Sunny Valley; sister, Jean; brother, Alfred; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
