Richard L. Harms, age 78, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home.
Richard was born December 25, 1937 in Oregon City, Oregon to Roy & Dorothy Harms. He primarily lived in Oregon all of his life and moved to Grants Pass in the mid 70’s. Richard worked for Rogue Community College as a professor for approximately 30 years.
On December 28, 1997 in Grants Pass he married Marsha Graves.
Richard enjoyed reading, driving and enjoying the scenery. He loved cars and he tried to get a new car every year.
He was a life member of Grants Pass Elks Lodge BPOE #1584.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Harms of Grants Pass; three sons, Richard S. Harms of Reno, Nevada, Rex Harms of Tennessee, Russell Harms of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter, Reann Cummings of Ft. Collins, Colorado; step-daughter, Krista Johnson of Grants Pass; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
