Rene Lois Ford

Rene Lois Higdon Ford, age 75, of Grants Pass, died April 25, 2017 at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland.

Rene was born April 8, 1942 in Portland to Francis Abram Higdon & Rosina Fay Law Higdon. On April 9, 1964 in Portland she married James R. Ford. In 1981, she moved from Hunters Creek, Michigan to Grants Pass. She worked as an x-ray technician at local hospitals and clinics.

Her memberships included the Oregon California Trails Association and Trails West. She attended Calvary Crossroads Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. James R. Ford of Grants Pass; a daughter, Tonja R. Weber of Klamath Falls; three sisters, Marietta Rankin, Lunnette Hertle, and Yvonne Moral; and a brother, Jay D. Higdon.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Calvary Crossroads Church with Pastor Bob Bonner officiating.

Private interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
