Raymond Michael Shapiro, age 53, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Crescent City, California as a result of an automobile accident.
A celebration of life remembrance will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

Raymond was born March 29, 1960 in West Covina, California to Norman L. & Toby (Kitnick) Shapiro. He graduated from West Covina High School, Class of 1978 and attended college in Southern California. He worked as a journeyman electrician and having developed many skills he also worked as a handyman. In 1980 he moved from Southern California to Grants Pass.
Raymond attended a local Christian church.
His hobbies included fishing, riding his bike, taking walks, talking with and helping people, and he also liked dogs and listening to talk radio and staying well informed.
Survivors include his mother Toby Grimm of Grants Pass; a sister Phyl Sharrard and her husband David of Grants Pass; two brothers, Martin Shapiro of Grants Pass and Gerald Shapiro of Port Orchard, Washington; nephews, Matthew Shapiro, Paul Shapiro, Christopher Shapiro, Brendon Shapiro, Wyatt Sharrard, Jesse Sharrard, Jeremiah Sharrard and a niece Isabella Sharrard.
Preceding him in death was his father, Norman Shapiro on February 15, 2010 and a stepfather, Leonard Grimm on July 30, 2011.
