Raymond Henry Meyer Jr.

Raymond Henry Meyer, Jr., age 50, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A private family service is being held. Hull and Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at the Eagle’s Lodge at 130 SE J Street, Grants Pass, Oregon, on December 28th at 5:00 p.m.

Ray was born on June 11, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond H. Meyer and Mary T. (Manelia) Meyer. After moving from Illinois to Grants Pass with his family in 1972, he attended Highland Elementary, Fleming Junior High and Grants Pass High Schools.

Throughout his lifetime Ray was a building contractor, HVAC technician, cabinet maker, carpenter and river guide. He loved the River.

In November of this year, Ray and the love of his life, Denise Matthews, were married.

In addition to his wife Denise, survivors include daughter Sarah Karnatz of Medford, his mother Mary Manelia of Grants Pass, sister Robin Kilpatrick of Sandy, Oregon and brother Robert Meyer also of Grants Pass, and one grandson. His father Raymond Meyer, Sr. preceded him in death.
