Randy True, age 58, of Wolf Creek, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Wolf Creek as the result of a bicycling accident.
Randy was born October 28, 1952 in Ashland, Oregon to Richard Arthur True & Nina Belle (Blackwell) True. He grew up in Redondo Beach, California and worked as a drywaller in Escondido, California. Three months ago he moved from Joshua Tree, California to Wolf Creek.
Randy loved surfing, the beach, and the Bible. He played the potter in the play ‘Jesus of Bethlehem’ in Yucca Valley, California. Randy was a watercolor artist and enjoyed painting cartoon animation and scenic scenes. His other hobbies included photography, bicycling, and pottery.
Survivors include his companion of six years, Mary Jane Wilson of Wolf Creek, Oregon; a son, Joshua Thomas True of Hemet, California; a daughter, Sarah Ann True of Joshua Tree, California; his mother, Nina B. Smith of Medford, Oregon; three grandchildren, Elijah, Makenna, and Ethan; his former wife, Susan Devine of Escondido, California; and his former companion, Kerry Hughes of Joshua Tree, California.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Marie Stephens in 1999.
Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
