SFC (Ret) Ralph E. Hageman “Sarge”, age 72, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at his home.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2008 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ralph was born May 8, 1935 in O’Fallon, Illinois to Walter & Boots Hageman. He graduated from San Fernando High School and served in the Army National Guard. In 1964 he met and married Wanda Gollihugh. In 1977 they moved from Sylmar, California to Grants Pass.
Ralph was actively involved with the American Legion Post #28 where he served as past-president and volunteering his time for security.
He especially enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their sports and activities. He was a longtime supporter of Grants Pass High School Athletics and volunteered with Southern Oregon Wheelchair Sports and Ray Kniffen Racing in White City.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, golf and family gatherings. He had a great love for our country and was very patriotic. He was a great fan of John Wayne and had a love for collecting eagle souvenirs. He spent time on his CB as “Sarge with his Lady Sarge.”
In addition to his wife, Wanda Hageman; he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Hoy and her husband Ron; a son, Brian Hageman and his wife, Shannon; and eight grandchildren all of Grants Pass; and a brother, Ray Hageman of Jolton, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Boots Hageman and a sister, Joan Gottenboss.
