Phyllis Ruth Olds

Phyllis Ruth Olds, age 75, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hugo Community Church. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis was born November 13, 1938 in Nevada City, California to Charles & Emma McFarland. She graduated from Grants Pass High School class of 1956. She was a homemaker, and a caregiver in adult foster care until retirement at age 70. She lived in Grants Pass nearly her entire life.

Her memberships included Hugo Community Church and the YMCA where she enjoyed swimming.

Phyllis loved her caregiving work and playing her organ.

Survivors include five children, Arnold Olds of Grants Pass, Oregon, Marcella Kellogg of Wilderville, Oregon, George Olds of Roseburg, Oregon, Brenda Miller and Delbert Olds Jr both of Grants Pass, Oregon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son in 1965, Charles Olds and a sister, Gladys.
