Phyllis Mae Sigel

Phyllis Mae Sigel, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at her home.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Carl Wilson conducting. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Phyllis was born January 5, 1925 in Portland, Oregon. On May 12, 1945 she married Julius James “J.J.” Sigel and they had three sons while living in Portland. In 1968 her husband accepted a business opportunity with the former Kelt Chevrolet Dealership and they moved to Grants Pass

She volunteered as a Pink Lady and was a member of the Grants Pass Garden Club.

She enjoyed getaways to Oregon beaches, traveling, flower gardening and judging flowers at local and state shows.

Survivors include three sons, James Sigel of Merlin; Jeff Sigel and his wife Wendy and Joel Sigel and his wife Renee' all of Grants Pass; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.J. Sigel in 1996.
