Phyllis Ann Rigel, age 70, of Azalea, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Palmerton Park in Rogue River. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis was born June 28, 1944 in Shelton, Washington. In 1962 she moved from Seattle, Washington to Grants Pass. On March 24, 1963 in Wimer she married Steve Rigel.
Together Phyllis and Steve were camp hosts at Gales Creek campground, Trask River campground and Whiskey Springs campground.
Phyllis attended the Baptist and Assembly of God churches both in Rogue River.
Her hobbies including reading, spending time on the computer, crocheting and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Rigel of Azalea, Oregon; four daughters, Debbie Millard and husband Shannon of Spokane, Washington, Peggy Babel of Rogue River, Oregon, Melinda Bradshaw and husband Gerry of Central Point, Oregon and Cindy Talbot and husband Art of Azalea, Oregon; a sister, Virginia Prince of Rainier, Washington; a brother, Bruce Lindholm of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
