Peggy Lucile Foster Metcalfe Robinson

1938 - 2023

Peggy Lucille Robinson passed away surrounded by loved ones in the late evening hours on Wednesday December 6^th.  She was 85 years old.  Peggy was born in Los Angeles, CA to Helena Kennedy and Clarence Dewey Foster on June 21st, 1938.  Peggy was a loving mother of two daughters, Natalie Morgan-Riley and Debbie Morgan.  She is survived by her youngest daughter, Natalie Morgan-Riley and 6 grandchildren, Paula Heine, Kathleen Laib, Michelle Olson, Derrick Heine, Justin Vaughn and Rex Olson and 9 great-grandchildren.  Peggy recently lost her longtime partner of 19 years, Mr. Harrold Maddox.  The family take peace in knowing that she is now reunited with him as well as many of her other loved ones, in the afterlife. 

Peggy had begun working for the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Records Division in 1971 where she thoroughly enjoyed her work until her retirement in 1997.  Peggy was an advocate for animals, often adopting the dog at the shelter that otherwise may never have found a home.  She loved roses, orchids and gardenias and was an avid gardener.  She enjoyed smelling all the roses in life and in her own beautiful gardens.  Peggy was exceptionally skilled at crochet, often knitting Afghans for her grandchildren as well as friends and family within her circle.  She found joy in knowing that her handmade gifts would keep newly arrived infants safely swathed as they began their journey into life.  Peggy was a thoughtful woman and devoted grandmother who never missed a birthday or holiday card to any of her loved ones.  Her laugh was infectious, her beauty, immeasurable and her strength was a pillar to her family.  Always there to offer comfort and support when needed.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  

A graveside service for Peggy will be held in Grants Pass, Oregon at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 1pm on December 18, 2023.  All who knew her are welcome to attend.  Cards and letters of condolence can be mailed to her family members at PO Box 502, Naselle WA 98638.
