Paul Zavada, age 93, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Arbor House of Grants Pass.
A summer picnic and military salute are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Paul was born January 1, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John & Helen (Bishop) Zavada. He was a World War II Veteran and received a Silver Star, and three Bronze Stars. He married Audrey Wicklander, June 29, 1946 in Wisconsin and then moved to Colorado Springs in 1954 where he owned his own alignment service and garage. He and his wife Audrey moved with their six kids to Grants Pass from Colorado Springs in 1969. He worked at Mock's Ford before retiring in 1980.
He enjoyed helping others, fishing, working in his yard and garden and was a great handyman and was the original 'MacGyver'. He enjoyed being with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was loved and known for his warm sense of humor and smile. He also loved his Dutch Brothers coffee.
Survived by six children, Jeylen Rohr of Colorado Springs Colorado, Jeff Zavada of Coos Bay Oregon, Joetta Anderson of Olympia Washington, James Zavada of Rogue River Oregon, Jack Zavada of Anaheim California and Joy Kilishek of Grants Pass and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey in 1996 and all of his siblings.
