Paul Glendon Rogers

Paul Glendon Rogers, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Paul was born January 3, 1931 in Modesto, California. In 1949 he graduated from San Jose High School. For three years he served in the United States Air Force and for six years served in the United States Army. On July 2, 1960 in Reno, Nevada he married Barbara Sparacino. In February 1980 he moved from San Jose, California to Grants Pass, Oregon. Paul was an artist and a published author.

For many years he volunteered with the Barnstormers, Grants Pass Humane Society, and Josephine County 4-H.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rogers of Grants Pass, Oregon; three daughters, Glynnes Buchanan of Aloha, Oregon, Candace Jones of Merlin, Oregon and Kristi Rogers of Beaverton, Oregon; a brother, Carl Rudolph Rogers of Salem, Oregon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia LaMoyne Bettencourt.
