Pat Nice

Pat Nice, age 71, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her home.

A viewing will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will begin at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Deacon Bob Chapin officiating. Interment will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Pat was born March 7, 1942 in San Diego, California to Jack & Marian (Silva) Meeker. Soon after her birth, the family moved to Maui, Hawaii as her father was a Navy Captain. She grew up in Hawaii and considered herself a Native Hawaiian. After returning to California she graduated from Castlemont High in Oakland, California in 1961. She volunteered at the G.I. Forum in San Jose, California where she met and later married her husband, Skip on October 16, 2004.

Pat was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

She enjoyed traveling and her dog, Misty. She was a wonderful cook and a great entertainer.

She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, Skip Nice of Grants Pass, Oregon; five children, Diana Rudd and husband Jeffrey of Roseburg, Michelle Schieve and husband Eric of Austin, Texas, Don Vick and wife Kathy of San Mateo, California, Scott Nice and wife Lyn of Redding, California and Robin Romero and husband John of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Chelsey, Emily, Hunter, Jessica Marie, Alexander, Stefania, Jason and Troy; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack and Mike both of Hayward, California
