Pahtriq Gairee “Riq” Carroll, age 39, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Hull and Hull Funeral Directors. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Riq was born to Maryjane Harris on December 9, 1967 in San Diego, California. He attended Orange Glen High School in Escondido, California and Sacramento State where he studied Railroad Engineering. He started working at Red Lobster as a waiter in Sacramento, California. For medical reasons, he retired in 1996 and moved from Sacramento to Grants Pass in 2005.
He volunteered as a Little League Coach with his daughter’s team.
His hobbies included watching sports and attending baseball games. He also enjoyed cooking and taught his daughter how to cook.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie M. Carroll; daughter, Rachell Jannell Carroll both of Grants Pass; mother, Maryjane Harris of Reno, Nevada; and grandfather, George Carroll of Baker City, Oregon.
Preceding him in death was a daughter, Amanda Carroll in 1992.
