Oscar Guy Weller

Oscar Guy Weller, age 83, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his home.

A private celebration of life will be held.

Oscar was born August 26, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to Allen & Georgiana Weller. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the 11th Airborne and served in the Korean War. On February 27, 1952 in Pusan, Korea he married Soon Hi Sur. He received an engineering degree and later worked as an engineer for Lockheed, Sylvania, Memorex, and Dalmo Victor.

His hobbies included fishing and NASCAR. He loved his dog, Taco.

In addition to his wife, Soon Hi Weller; Oscar is survived by two daughters, Mela Forsythe and Meia Weller; four grandchildren, Ronald Clemons, Michael Clemons, Brian Forsythe, and Iris Cartner; six great-grandchildren, Orion Clemons, Shalico Clemons, Daly McAlister, Anthony Brandt, Hayden Forsythe, and Chloe Forsythe; and a brother, Gene Weller.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Weller in 1984.
