Norrene Lucille Ilchuk, age 96, of Grants Pass, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at The Suites.

Mrs. Ilchuk was born November 8, 1914 in Hanford, California to James & Amy Palmer. She received a bachelor’s degree in secretarial science from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. On September 24, 1942 in Glendale, California she married Nicholas Ilchuk. For most of her working years she was a secretarial science teacher in both private and public schools. In January 1984 she moved from California to Grants Pass.

Mrs. Ilchuk was a member of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a Master Gardener.

She enjoyed various crafts and outdoors activities.

Survivors include two sons, James M. Ilchuk of Oakland, California and Gordon Ilchuk of Kailua, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Ilchuk on April 7, 2002; her parents; and a sister.
