Noah Brandt Baker
March 3, 1992 – April 28, 2022
Noah Brandt Baker was a sweet soul, a wonderful son, a loving brother, an absolutely devoted father and soul mate. He left us all too early and we will miss him forever.
Noah was born to Buck and Lindi (Brandt) Baker in San Francisco, California. The Baker Family returned to their hometown of Grants Pass in 1996. Noah was an adventurous guy from the very beginning and lived an exciting and big life, albeit so very short. He traveled extensively around the world and the country but loved his home here. Noah also treasured his time at the Baker Family cabin at Diamond Lake where he could snowmobile in the winter, fish and camp in the summer and spend countless starlit nights sitting around the crackling campfire swapping stories with his family and friends. He also loved the Family’s tropical retreat in Kauai where he spent many summers during his childhood, building thatched huts in the jungle, swinging from vines, swimming in the warm Pacific and building magical sandcastles on the beaches.
Noah attended Fort Vannoy Elementary, Fleming Middle School and North Valley High School. He was quite an accomplished athlete and competed in baseball, football, track, and swimming, where he competed at the State championship level. He had many good friends who have remained close through the years. Noah attended Rogue Community College, Portland State University and Oregon State University. He was a devoted Notre Dame Irish Fan, following his Uncle Mark who played football there. Noah was an accomplished design engineer and worked many years in the aeronautics field.
Noah leaves behind the center of his universe, his sweet daughter, Laura Lu (“Lulu”) Baker, parents, Buck and Lindi, sister Brittany Baker-Link (Jack), brother Mark Baker (Jessica), niece and nephews Lois Link, Bucky Baker and Micah Lofstedt, aunts and uncles, Michael and Shannon Brandt, Matt and Beth Brandt, Jeannie and Bruce Perry, cousins Zachary (Elizabeth) and Madelyn Brandt and beloved fiancé, Ashley Bishir.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Jean Brandt and William and Lois Baker and his Uncle Mark Brandt.
The Baker Family gratefully acknowledges the diligent assistance of Archie Lidey, Grants Pass City Police, Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue, Deputy Darron O’Donnell, Detectives Robert Shaw and Heather Yerrick, and Federal Agents, Matt Brandt and Will Turner as well as countless friends, family and community members who helped search for Noah and offered prayers and support.
Noah was a happy, gentle, dependable, sometimes quiet man with a wry sense of humor and who generally spoke only when he had something to say. He was a friend to all and filled our hearts and lives with love.
