Nellie "Nell" J. Jackson

Nellie “Nell” J. Jackson, age 90, of Rogue River, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Private services will be held at a later date. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made in Nell’s name to a charity of your choice.

Nell was born February 25, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In June of 1957 in Reno, Nevada she married Albert Jackson. They’ve been married for 56 years. She was a graphic artist and entrepreneur. They moved to Grants Pass in 1977 and then to Rogue River in 2009.

She was a member of River Valley Church (formally First Baptist Church) in Grants Pass where she volunteered making many quilts and pictures.

Her hobbies included embroidering and drawing. She was always a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Jackson of Grants Pass; three sons, Darryl Jackson of Grants Pass, Jeff Jackson and wife Kim of Rogue River and Gary Jackson and wife Tracy of Rogue River and a stepdaughter, Diane Primis of Anchorage, Alaska.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Roger Powell.
