Nellie M. Sutch, age 90, of Glendale, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Glendale Assembly of God Church with Pastor Terry Bess officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Nellie was born September 29, 1921 in East Freedom, Pennsylvania to Charles Henry Dodson & Elsie (Burk) Dodson. On August 17, 1939 in Wheeling, West Virginia she married Stephen Joseph Sutch. In 1948 they moved from Blue Knob, Pennsylvnaia to Glendale and together they owned and operated Steve’s Saw Shop from 1963 to 1979. She also worked on the Douglas County election board.
Nellie was a member of the Mountaineer Rebekah Lodge for 50 years and in 1970 served as Noble Grand. She volunteered at the Well Child Clinic in Glendale
Nellie enjoyed sewing, reading, word puzzles, and Seven Feather’s Casino.
Survivors include four sons, Steve Sutch Jr and wife Barbara of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, Ed Sutch and wife Linda of Glendale, Oregon, Darl Sutch and wife Francine of Luxenbourg, Europe, Gary Sutch and wife Barbara of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Debra Sutch and husband Craig Christensen of Creswell, Oregon; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Louise Sutch of Medford, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Sutch; and three brothers; and five sisters.
