Nell Allen

Nell Allen, age 95, of Grants Pass, Oregon died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her home.

Nell was born November 3, 1919 in Nashville, Tennessee to James & Haddie (Reasoner) Pruette. She moved from Tennessee to California where she lived in Gardena, Torrance, and Redondo Beach. After living in Redondo Beach for 37 years she recently moved to Grants Pass in March 2015.

For many years she was a member of the Church of Christ in Hawthorne, California.

Survivors include her son, Bruce Allen of Grants Pass; four grandchildren, Raymond Havili of Redondo Beach; Melissa Allen-Dockery, Bruce G. Allen and Claire Allen; and two great-grandchildren, Zane Allen and Lila Dockery all of Grants Pass; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace in 2003 and daughter, Delores Allen in 2013.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2015 at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
