Nancy Heisser, age 77, of Grants Pass, died May 31, 2024 at her home.
Nancy was born in South Bend, Indiana and eventually moved to Los Angeles, California when her parents moved there to find work. After she graduated high school she got married & had 3 children, Kurt Jr, Britt and Erin. When her parents had moved to Honolulu, Hawaii for work, Nancy then moved herself and her 3 children to Hawaii to be closer to them. As a hobby Nancy started making and designing Puka shell jewelry for herself & eventually owned 3 jewelry stores. Two jewelry stores were located in the famous Pink Palace known as The Royal Hawaiian Hotel and one in The Waikiki Inn. This was a jewelry/flower shop she owned with her mom. Her business name was Nancy of Honolulu. She also became a realtor and listed and sold million dollar properties. She had many adventures and traveled to Hong Kong and Japan. She designed and created a jewelry piece for the Queen of England and has a signed thank you note from Queen Elizabeth. Nancy raised her 3 children on her own, worked 7 days a week to make sure they had everything they needed and put them through private school. When she retired she decided to move to Grants Pass, Oregon to be closer to her kids. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Annes in Grants Pass. She was a wonderful, loyal and caring daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always fought for what was right! She will be missed.
