Nancy Deamicis

Nancy DeAmicis was born March 2, 1945, in Glendale, California to John & Margaret Doty and grew up in Southern California. While working in law enforcement, Nancy met Vince DeAmicis and they were married in 1975.

After retiring they enjoyed working and traveling with the motion picture industry throughout the USA and Canada. They were always accompanied by their dogs, Ty, Murphy, and Sammy.

Vince and Nancy were lifelong animal activists and in 2014 Nancy generously provided the Grants Pass Public Safety Canine Team their current drug detection dog-in-training. Plans are in the process to establish a local training field to be named the Vince DeAmicis Memorial.

Nancy died on January 16, 2015, at her home in Grants Pass after a long battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and loved ones.

She is survived by her mother Margaret Doty of Santa Maria, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent in 2012.

A celebration of Nancy & Vince’s lives is planned for a future date.
