Myrtle F. Trickey, age 100, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Regency Care of Rogue Valley.
Myrtle was born December 19, 1915 in Beulah, Wyoming to Charles & Alice Finch. She grew up on a dude ranch in Spearfish, South Dakota. In 1973 they moved from Rogue River to Grants Pass.
Myrtle was active in the Grants Pass Emblem Club. Her memberships included Medford-Crater Lioness Club, Grants Pass and Colonial Valley 9 hole golf clubs, Hope Presbyterian Church in Rogue River, devoted member of the Republican Party, Past President of the Grants Pass Emblem Club and Past State President of the Oregon Lion’s Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Trickey and wife, Shirley of Taft, California, Donald Trickey of Grants Pass and Russell Trickey of Grants Pass; grandchildren, Matthew Trickey of Arizona and Michael Trickey of California and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Lewis Trickey; her parents; six brothers and sisters and a grandson, Denis Trickey in 2006.
Private services have been held at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
