Myla “Jean” Meservey, age 61, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at her home. Jean battled kidney failure and cancer for many years and is finally at peace.
A memorial graveside will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Granite Hill Cemetery in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jean was born January 12, 1949 in Grants Pass, Oregon. From the time she was two years old, she was raised by her foster parents, Howard & Ruth Abbott. She loved this valley all her life.
Her hobbies included reading, working with dairy goats, her cats, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jean will be remembered for her work with dairy goats at the Josephine County Fair and her love for her Native American Heritage.
She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Lindsley of Aloha, Oregon and Denise Talley and Bonnie Headding both of Grants Pass, Oregon; a sister, Janet Abbott; a brother, Richard Abbott; a sister-in-law, Bev Abbott; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Abbott.
