Muriel Peat Morehouse

Muriel Peat Morehouse, age 73, of Grants Pass died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at her home.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Allen Creek House of Worship. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Muriel was born in Liverpool, England on December 19, 1935 to James and Ada Peat. She married Daniel J. Morehouse in Liverpool on July 25, 1953. Muriel and Dan lived in Selma for 14 years before moving to Grants Pass in 2007. Her beautiful gardens in Selma and Grants Pass were featured in the Grants Pass Courier. Muriel could handle anything inside and outside her home from major home repairs to computers, appliances, sprinkler systems and remodeling projects.

Muriel is survive by her husband, sister, Ann (James) McNulty, Children – Daniel J. (Barbara) of West Jordan, UT, James (Nancy) of Tucson, AZ, Sheryl of Cedar Falls, IA, Debbie (Mike) Sullivan of Grants Pass, and Michelle Pellum of Roy, Utah, 13 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, Ed Peat, sister, Joan Murray.
