Michael Sweeley

Michael Sweeley, age 66, of Grants Pass, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center after a massive heart attack.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Michael was born October 22, 1944 in Adrian, Michigan. He grew up in California where he attended school and worked as a teacher. In December 1965 he married his wife, Linda. Together they moved to Grants Pass in 1976. Michael worked in local law enforcement and spent time as range master for the police department. After retiring he taught fire arm training classes.

Michael was an active member of the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed stamp collecting, computers, teaching, theatrical stage makeup, calligraphy, and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, Linda Sweeley; survivors include two daughters, Lisa and Cara; a son, Chad; and two grandsons.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and all-around wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.
