Michael "Herky" Cotton

Michael Cady “Herky” Cotton, age 47, of Cave Junction, died Monday August 20, 2007 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Private services were held with Hull & Hull Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

“Herky” was born February 14, 1960 in Eureka, California to Frederick Healy Cotton and Jacqueline Darlene Cotton. He attended the Oregon State School for the Deaf in Salem and later transferred to public schools in Murphy attending Lincoln Savage Middle School and Hidden Valley High School where he participated in wrestling and football.

He had a big heart and always wanted to help people.

Survivors include a sister Alisyn Carson and her husband Jim of Sparks, Nevada; brothers, Jacque Cotton and his wife, Jamie of Las Vegas, Nevada; Andre Cotton and his wife, Michelle of Grants Pass; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Cherie Duran of Cave Junction and her family.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2005 and his mother in 2003.

You can now rest peacefully, big brother. We all love you and you will be missed.
