Michael Dennis “Mike” Sheridan, age 54, of Medford, Oregon died December 5, 2016 in Medford.
Mike was born January 27, 1962 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Philip Sheridan & Marlena Joyce Southard. In 1980 he graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale, Arizona. During his senior year of high school, he was an Arizona State-Wide Mixed Doubles Tennis Champion. He enlisted in the United States Navy and while serving on board the USS Benjamin Stoddert DDG-22, his unique skill at writing backwards on the maneuver board was a valuable military asset.
After his honorable discharge, he lived in Honolulu, Hawaii where he drove pedicabs, taxis, and limousines. He also briefly owned and operated his own limousine company. While living in Hawaii he developed quite a good singing voice and very much enjoyed karaoke. In the late 1990s he moved to Grants Pass and in 2014 moved to Medford.
Mike enjoyed science and astronomy.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Marlena Thiel and Robert Thiel both of Grants Pass; and an older brother, David P. Sheridan of Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Sheridan.
