Maxine L. Kirry

Maxine L. Kirry, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her home.

Maxine was born September 10, 1935 in Berlin, New Hampshire to Lyle & Jessie Bailey. She graduated in 1953 at St. Johnsbury Academy, Vermont. On November 4, 1956 in Lyndon, Utah she married Glenn H. Kirry. During her marriage she was a homemaker and after her children left home she worked part time. In 1993 she retired with her husband to Greeneville, Tennessee. In 2003, after her husband died, she moved back to Niskayuna, New York, and then moved to Oregon with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson that same year.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she also volunteered.

Her hobbies included being with her family, reading and home shopping.

Survivors include a son, Dale A. Kirry of Middleburg, Florida; daughter Suzanne E. Carpenter and husband Joseph of Grants Pass; son, Stuart W. Kirry and wife, Lynn E. Kirry of Scotia, NY; brother, Nelson S. Bailey of Onalaska, Washington; sister, Elaine B. Vinkemulder of Sacramento, California; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one more on the way, due in November.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Glenn H. Kirry and her parents.
